Anghiari Itinerary
One of Italy's most beautiful villages, Anghiari climbs up the hill between the Tiber River and Sovara Torrent. In the Lombard era (VII century), it was a fortified castle. The city was conquered in 1440 by the Florentines at the famous Battle of Anghiari.
Casentino Itinerary
IN SEARCH OF MIDDLE AGES - The Casentino Valley, embellished by the National Casentino Forest Park with its tall fir and beech trees, almost like a piece of North Europe in Tuscany, is also the home of medieval buildings: castles and fortified towns, age-old churches, abbeys and monasteries.

Medieval Arezzo Itinerary
Arezzo maintained its prestige during the Middle Ages. It was one of the first towns to be occupied by the Lombards who built castles and parish churches. After the Franks defeated the Lombards the city became part of the Holy Roman Carolingian Empire. The founding of the free Municipality of Arezzo dates back to the early thirteenth century.
Piero della Francesca Itinerary
The itinerary that leads to the discovery of Piero della Francesca's Arezzo works starts in Arezzo and continues on to Monterchi, his mother's home village, to end in Sansepolcro, where the artist was born.
Sansepolcro Itinerary
This town, the most important in the Arezzo Tiber Valley, is the birthplace of Piero della Francesca. Due to its strategic position, Sansepolcro was the object of lengthy contention between Guelphs and Ghibellines and was damaged by battles and powerful earthquakes.
Valdarno Itinerary
Throughout the valley one can admire bell towers, towers, churches, castles and ancient villages like Loro Ciuffenna, Gropina and Cennina. Valdarno was the site of a bloody struggle between Florence and Arezzo.
Val Dichiana Itinerary
The Valdichiana is one of four Arezzo valleys and extends south of the city. Here we can find Chianina cow breeding farms which provide the famous Florentine steaks.
Valtibertina Itinerary
The birthplace of the Tiber river, this valley was a meeting point between Umbrian and Etruscan, and Byzantine and Lombard civilizations. The influences of the various peoples can be seen in the architecture, in the artisan traditions and in the cuisine.
