Maria Gaia Piccini: when gold-art tradition meets creative inspiration
In Arezzo from 20th to 22nd October, transformable jewellery that can be personalized and inter-changed

Maria Gaia Piccini – PonteVecchio – is a brand founded in Florence in September 2016. “My immediate intention was to create dynamic and contemporary jewellery that would be radically different to high jewellery themes and Florentine tradition”, says the designer.
Her collections, on show at GOLD/ITALY from 20th to 22nd October in Arezzo Expo Centre, feature a large number of symbolic and playful geometries, particularly inter-changeable triangles and circles. One single item with multiple possibilities, from pendant to bracelet.
“The inspiration for the jewels I create derives from these archetypes: each one safeguards the symbolic embrace of my past, the current present and the future. ”
And so a new way of wearing jewellery was born, one that captures life’s instances and transforms each one into a jewel for different occasions: from earring to pendant, from pendant to bracelet.
Magic, symbology and uniqueness form the base for creating jewelllery that depict the heavenly constellations, between the past, present and future. The Liason collection, dedicated to invisible threads that bind one to another to play with the components and create their own unique combination to be shared with the persons you love, therefore finds its space.
